November has seen the publication of CIRIA’s latest iteration of the SuDS Manual; best practice guidance for the planning, design, construction and maintenance of sustainable drainage systems (SuDS).

The SuDS Manual 2015 builds on learnings since the 2011 edition to assist decision makers and designers with the implementation of SuDS in both new and existing developments.

The document is very well presented, beginning with a high level overview suitable for those with an interest in SuDS, before progressing into detailed guidance for policy and decision makers, with more technical detail for engineers and designers making up the later sections.
